Barbara Galindo, Administrator at Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon in Miami, Florida, has been named a Veteran VIP in the McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards, a joint program of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and McKnight’s Senior Living.
In its third year, the program recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the senior living or skilled nursing professions or have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the field. Veteran VIPs, a new category in 2021, have more than 15 years of experience in the industry.
“Veteran VIPs have shown a long-term commitment to the fields and help keep the industry stable,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor.
An external panel of industry experts judged nominations. All winners will be honored at a virtual awards celebration on May 18. An educational forum will follow on May 19.
