Assisted Living Services

Assistance to the Elderly, Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization that owns Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon, a licensed assisted living and memory care community.

Residential Plaza provides an affordable home with assisted living services allowing older adults to live in a safe, caring and supportive environment while maintaining their dignity, independence, and purpose.

Residential Plaza offers ample solutions to overcome the challenges of aging, including housing, assisted living care, memory care, and short-term care.

Memory Care Program

Residential Plaza’s Memory Care Program provides an affordable 24-hour specialized care, based on the Montessori for Aging and Dementia Program, in a home-like environment for adults with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-related disorders.

Our residents enjoy living in a home-like environment, surrounded by a safe and caring atmosphere; our personalized approach helps our residents to stay physically and socially engaged, improving their confidence and self-esteem.

Research has provided clear evidence that older adults affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders experience a decrease in behaviors due to unmet needs and, increase their levels of engagement in activities when Montessori approaches are implemented.

Your contribution to the Memory Care Program will assist to provide ongoing training for our Staff on the Montessori for Aging and Dementia Program and ensure we give them all the resources to optimally implement the program to attain maximum results.

Rental Assistance Program

The Rental Assistance Program allows low-income older adults to afford rent in an assisted living environment enabling them to maintain their quality of life.

The Rental Assistance Program established in 2004 benefiting an average of 150 low-income older adults on a yearly basis.
