Miami, Florida, December 30TH, 2019, /- The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Women’s Society Network celebrated its Women Empowering and Embracing Women Awards (WEEW), a signature event of the organization, where seven outstanding women were honored together with the annual Men of the Year. The lunch, presented by UHealth Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, took place at the Hotel Colonnade. The women were honored for their success in their respective careers and for serving as mentors to other women. According to SFLHCC Chamber President/ CEO, Liliam M. Lopez, “The important criteria when selecting these honorees was seeing that they are successful women in their careers, but they also care about helping other women attain success.”
The honorees were: maria T. Planas, Lourdes Martinez, Dr. Aida Levitan, Mara Rey Suarez, Karla Hernandez-Mats, Rosa Cozad, Sandra Pubchara, and the Men of the Year was presented to the late Ralph Gonzalez-Jacobo’s family.
Sandra Pubchara works as Outreach Coordinator for Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon, where she brings her professionalism and compassion to serve the most vulnerable in our community, low-income older adults. “We are proud to have Sandra as part of our team. The Marketing Influencer Empowering Award is a well-deserved recognition for a woman that nurtures our team and anyone she meets,” said Barbara Galindo, Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon Administrator.
