Law Office of Vivian T. Figueras
Ms. Figueras was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents. Although she has lived the majority of her life in the South Florida area, Ms. Figueras attended middle school in Bogota, Colombia. She graduated from high school in La Paz, Bolivia. Ms. Figueras credits her parents for instilling in her a love of education and travel at an early age, as well as a sense of responsibility for giving back to others.
Ms. Figueras received both her bachelor’s degree (with a major in Political Science and a minor in Latin American Studies) and her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Ms. Figueras is a sole practitioner and has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1986. Her practice concentrates in the areas of Probate and Guardianship, Estate Planning, and Family Law.
Ms. Figueras has been with Assistance to the Elderly since October 2018. “Assistance to the Elderly provides much-needed services to an underserved population. I am proud to be a part of an organization that does such important work and makes a difference in the lives of low-income elderly residents in our community.” She says that as our population continues to age, the work of ATTE will become even more critical.
Ms. Figueras is also an advocate for organ donation. Her 19-year-old son Michael was an organ donor after he lost his life in a vehicle crash; he saved five lives. Ms. Figueras enjoys spreading awareness about the need for organ donation in our community, as well.
