Victoria “Vicky” Berg

My name is Victoria Arroyave Berg, but I go by “Vicky.” Born in Colombia, South America, our family later immigrated to the United States in 1956.

I grew up in the Coral Gables area and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. I then graduated in 1975 from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Soon after, I obtained a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of West Florida in1979. After doing a brief internship with the City of Miami Human Resources Department, I was offered full-time employment with the City of Miami in Recruitment and Selection. In 1986, my husband and I relocated to southern California. I lived in Irvine, California, for 34 years. I worked as an H.R. professional with the L.A. Unified School District, the City of Garden Grove, and the City of Huntington Beach. After my husband passed away six years ago, I knew it was time to spend my retirement years in Miami and be close to family. Therefore, I officially moved back to Coral Gables in December 2019, before the pandemic shut us down. I am now ready to get involved in our community.

I look forward to serving on the ATTE Board of Directors. I feel this organization is doing an excellent service for a much-underserved population of our society. I look forward to making valuable and significant contributions to the organization’s goals.
