Paul Ramos

Paul Ramos has been a practicing physical therapist since 1994 and got his start at The Baptist Hospital of Miami Inpatient Rehabilitation Department. During his time at Baptist, he was a member of the intensive outpatient brain injury team. After leaving the hospital in 1997 he worked in private practice in the outpatient and home health settings. Mr. Ramos is a board-certified geriatric clinical specialist (GCS). He has been certified in several methods of functional capacity evaluation and is a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and a Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC). He became a Certified Life Care Planner in 2013 and has since been working at Comprehensive Rehabilitation Consultants preparing Life Care Plans for individuals suffering from catastrophic injury or illness. During his professional career he has helped individuals ranging from toddlers to centenarians and treated patients suffering all manner of neurologic, orthopedic, rheumatologic, and congenital diagnosis and disorders. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for nearly 30 years and is an active member of International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the International Academy of Life Care Planners (IALCP). He has been published in the Journal of Life Care Planning. He has also presented at IARP conferences. In 2023 he was granted the fellow designation (FIALCP) by the IALCP.

Paul has served on various boards over the years and is Director Emeritus for Assistance to the Elderly, a non-profit in Miami Florida that serves the low-income, elderly residents’ population. He is a current member of the IALCP Board of Directors.

Paul is of Cuban heritage and lives in Miami Florida with his wife Alina and they have three sons. In his spare time, he enjoys running, weightlifting and the outdoors. He is passionate about the environment and helping others.
