Luisana Hung Salazar is Assistance to the Elderly’s Development Director. Luisana was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where she was raised and went to school, earning a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Publicity. Luisana worked for 20 years in the music industry as a promoter, product manager, and in the later years as Marketing Director for very prestigious local and multinational companies. Luisana is a marketing expert with broad knowledge in multicultural marketing, advertising, promotion, public relations, media relations, events logistics, production, experiential activation, and cross-promotions. Luisana has translated her vast experience to the non-profit world becoming a savvy fund development professional in the implementation of peer-to-peer fundraising strategies to increase participation, engagement, and revenue growth; Luisana has a proven track record in the prospecting, cultivation, activation, and stewardship of donors, strategic planning, program development, and volunteer management.
Luisana Hung Salazar joined Assistance to the Elderly in June 2017, embarking on a large-scale plan to re-engineer the organization from the inside-out. “It’s a privilege to be involved in shaping the services and care offered to low-income older adults in Miami-Dade. This city has given me so many opportunities in my personal and professional life that it’s rewarding to give back to it helping the most vulnerable in our communities”.
